Cycling towards WUR sport facilities
Wageningen University and Research (WUR) took the initiative to improve access by bicycle towards their sport facilities. In the current situation there are several points in the surrounding infrastructure, heavily used by cyclists, which are considered as unsafe. The aim is to create a more bicycle-friendly entrance to the campus and to solve the difficult and unclear situations in the future.
In order to achieve this, a crossing, at a slightly different location than the current crossing Nijenoord Allee - Hoevestein, is required. The WUR and the municipality of Wageningen are cooperating and will construct this improved bicycle access towards WUR sport facilities. Hopefully this will result in more cyclists in Wageningen comfortably cycling towards their sports!
